The cartridges are made of loose activated carbon, which removes from 98% to 99% of free chlorine, chlorinate solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons (this improves the taste and smell of water), as well as up to 85% of pesticides of chlorogenic origin, polyaromatic compounds, phenol, benzene and organic substances.

Compared to granulated carbon, the sintered carbon has much larger surface area, as well as the number of active centres, therefore it is 25% more effective than other types of carbon cartridges. Additionally, the cartridge can also remove solids larger than 3 µm. The FCCBL cartridges are especially recommended for treatment of surface waters.

This series of cartridges is designed for treatment of cold drinking water.

The cartridge is typically used in the filter housings type BigBlue 10''. We recommend that before the first use, you soak the cartridge in water for about 1 hour or flush it with water for few minutes. Thanks to that, the filter does not release media particles into the next filtration stage.

Recommended water flow - up to 24 litres of water per minute.

The cartridges should not be used for microbiologically contaminated water, or for water from an unknown source. To prolong cartridge life, you should install a filter with a cartridge from FCPS or FCPP series, before the filter with FCCBL cartridge.
